Your Facebook business account gives you a FREE tool called a pixel.
What you do is take that code and apply it to your website, then when someone visits your website that pixel will see them and try to find the Facebook account associated with that person.
Then it takes those Facebook profiles and files them inside your Facebook business account.
You can do two things with those facebook profiles:
- Run ads directly to those people who have already seen your website (this is how companies follow you around on social media)
- Create a “look-a-like” audience and run ads to them. That means Facebook finds people it considers similar to the website visitor. I.e. if Facebook knows you own a business, it will find other business owners.
This is a great way to get a hyper-targetted list of people who already know your company.
