Should you care about AI taking over search engines?

Only if you want to stay in business.

Extremely quick breakdown of what I mean:

Like it or not, people trust the answers AI gives.

They expect AI has done the “research” and is giving them the best result.

So when AI recommends your business, some of that trust gets passed to your business.

That’s a referral.

And when a lead comes to you already trusting you, that lead is MUCH easier to close.

Meaning AI search is:

Lead generation — it delivers you leads.

Lead conversion — it makes those leads easier to close.

Referral marketing — it’s the digital version of word-of-mouth.

Old-school Google search gave people a list of businesses and said:

“Here are some options.”

AI search says:

“This is the business I recommend.”

That’s a massive difference.

How could you not want to be in that answer?
