“Shooting” for your ideal client

Imagine you have a big gun in your hand.

You spot a nice barn in the distance and decide to shoot at it.

You fire off a few rounds, then walk up and inspect the bullet holes.

You find a few clustered together… so you grab a paintbrush and draw a big bullseye around them.

Step back and admire your work.

“Wow… I’m a great marksman.”

That’s how most people do marketing.

They throw stuff out there, get a few clients, and then decide, “Yep—that’s exactly who I was targeting.”

Or you could be smart about it.

You can decide who your ideal client is FIRST—and then aim directly at them.

Because getting more of your IDEAL clients is how you go from a stressful business that drives you insane…

To a business you actually enjoy running.

P.S. Hear about how to find your ideal client and then what to do with them on The Marketing Switch Podcast. You can listen HERE.

P.P.S I wish I could pretend I made up the shooting at the barn thing, it’s call the Texas Sharpshoot Fallacy.
